Six players will leave Cardiff City Women this summer including Mikayla Cook and Megan Bowen.

Defender Bowen scored the winning penalty in the shoot-out that saw Cardiff lift the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, but after 106 appearances stretching back to 2022 she leaves to pursue an opportunity to further her education and experience in analysis.

Winger or wing-back Cook – another to hold her nerve in the 5-4 penalty shoot-out win against Swansea City Women – came through Cardiff’s youth system, netting 23 times in 85 matches for the senior side, but will move on.

Laura Curnock, Amy Long and Helen Evans will leave the club following the expiration of their contracts, while Lisa Owen also departs.

Thirteen players have been offered contracts for the 2026-27 season.

Those are Ceryn Chamberlain, Ffion Price, Hannah Power, Nieve Rowbottom, Fiona Barry, Mackenzie Olden, Kerry Walklett, Shannon Evans, Maddison Perrott, Seren Thomas, Hollie Smith, Lily Billingham and Madison Lloyd.
