North East walking route Deeside Way to close until November

Part of Aberdeen’s popular Deeside Way walking and cycling path will be closed for several months, after tree felling work was brought forward for safety reasons.

The city council says the former railway line from Culter Station to Pittengullies Brae, as well as the adjacent woodland at Lovers’ Walk, will be closed from Tuesday until the end of November.

Diversions are being put in place. The local authority has apologised for the inconvenience.

The route will be used this weekend for the Aberdeen to Banchory Kiltwalk fundraising event.
