Oasis fan suffered multiple injuries in fatal fall, inquest hears

An Oasis fan who fell from height during one of the band’s concerts at Wembley Stadium died from multiple injuries, an inquest has heard.

Lee Claydon, known to his family by his middle name Clive, fell from an upper level at the end of the show on 2 August.

The 45-year-old father of three from Bournemouth died from “multiple bodily injuries” according to a preliminary post-mortem examination, the coroner said.

Senior coroner Andrew Walker adjourned the case to a further pre-inquest hearing on 19 November.

Police are reviewing CCTV and mobile phone footage from a substantial number of witnesses, Barnet Coroner’s Court heard.

The fall happened during a run of stadium shows for the rock band’s sell-out Live ’25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009.

Previously, Oasis said in a statement they were “shocked and saddened” to hear of the death.

The band added: “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Mr Claydon’s father, Clive, previously said his son was a “lovely bloke” and a “hard-working family man”.
