Video shows masked men ‘filling pockets and bags’ at St Neots shop

Video showed masked men helping themselves to cash, alcohol, vapes and tobacco at a shop.

It happened at the Premier store in Eaton Socon, St Neots just before 18:00 GMT on 11 January.

Cambridgeshire Police said: “A terrified member of staff ran out of the shop while the burglars filled their pockets and bags with cash from the till and the other items.”

Shane Barr, 37, Abdifatah Haji, 38 and Americo Monteiro Do Rosario Silva, 42, admitted burglary and were sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court.

Barr, of Moores Walk in St Neots, was jailed for three years and three months; Haji, of Wargrave Avenue, North London, was jailed for one year; while Silva, of West Green Road, North London, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.

A fourth man has been charged in connection with the case but has not yet entered a plea.
