Three arrests after man found fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton

Three people have been arrested after a man was found fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton, police said.

Officers confirmed that they were alerted at 03:00 BST on Sunday to a car park in Clarence Street, where they found a man with an injury to his chest.

“The man in his 20s was treated by paramedics, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,” West Midlands Police said.

A man, 32, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 66-year-old man and woman, 59, on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“Investigations remain ongoing to establish exactly who is responsible, with forensics experts examining the scene as door-to-door inquiries continue,” the force added.

Officers will be in the area as inquiries progress and neighbourhood teams will be patrolling in the coming days to offer reassurance to residents.

Police are retrieving and reviewing CCTV from the area and appealed for anyone who is yet to speak to police to contact them.

Anyone with information can call police on 101 or message via LiveChat, quoting log 594 of 5 July.
