A seventeen-year-old who has weekly oxygen therapy in a tank says she has “been left behind” and her dreams taken by her chronic condition.
“Long Covid has just put my life on hold,” Kaylee said fighting tears.
“I have hated it and I just want to get back to living my life.”
Kaylee had a promising future in gymnastics before she became unwell in 2020 and was diagnosed with long Covid, which left her exhausted, missing out on school and unable to compete in the sport she loved.
BBC Wales has heard from young people still struggling post-Covid who describe feeling abandoned and their childhood taken from them by their illness.
