Flint Town United have been promoted back to the Cymru Premier after Cymru North leaders Holywell Town opted not to appeal the decision to refuse them a tier one licence.

Flint won 4-0 at Mold Alex on Tuesday to guarantee at least a second-place finish.

After Holywell accepted the FAW’s decision, Flint return to the top flight 12 months after relegation.

Briton Ferry had already been promoted from the Cymru South.

The Football Association of Wales had revealed that Pontypridd United have appealed the decision to deny them a tier one licence next season.

The appeal will be heard on Thursday, before this weekend’s final Cymru Premier games this season.

Ponty are in the bottom two, but would move out of the relegation places and swap spots with Aberystwyth if they beat them on Sunday.

However, they will be relegated regardless if they fail their appeal.
