Forward Cole Sanford has committed to a fifth season at Cardiff Devils.

The 29-year-old Canadian has played 267 games so far for the Elite League team, scoring 141 goals.

His biggest impact came in 2022-23 when he scored 43 goals in all competitions as well as 35 assists for 78 points.

“Cole is a pure goal-scorer, but he does so much more than that,” said Devils managing director Todd Kelman.

“He kills penalties, he blocks shots, he is one of the hardest working players at both ends of the ice and he is difficult to play against every night.

“He is also a great playmaker and can break open a game at any time, which he has proven time and time again when we needed him to.”
