Clacton woman who stabbed and tried to murder man is jailed

A woman who attempted to murder a man by stabbing him more than 30 times has been jailed for 25 years.

Essex Police said Lucinda Fyfield armed herself with a 12in (30cm) kitchen knife for the attack at her home in Gilders Way, Clacton-on-Sea, on 11 May.

The 39-year-old victim was left permanently scarred, underwent emergency surgery and survived.

Fyfield – described by the force as a “pathological liar” – was convicted of attempted murder after a five-day trial.
