Seam-bowler Andy Gorvin will lead Glamorgan in the 2026 Metro Bank One-Day Cup (ODC).

The 28-year-old helped the Welsh county win the competition in his debut 2021 season and in 2024, and director of cricket Mark Wallace hailed Gorvin as “one of the most popular and respected members of the squad”.

Wallace added: “With multiple players away at The Hundred the competition allows us to give opportunities to different players.”

Gorvin said: “We have an exciting crop of younger players coming through, and together with some more experienced heads we are looking to build on performances from the other formats this season and in the ODC over the last few years.”

The Winchester-born player says Glamorgan “can’t wait to get going” when they host Sussex at the Gnoll, Neath on Wednesday, 22 July.

David Harrison will reprise the role he held in 2021 by being Glamorgan coach for the 50-over competition.
