A day in my life as a young farmer as the industry protests

Farmers say they are feeling under increasing pressure to produce cheap food with little certainty about future level of subsidies which keep prices down.

After a rally in Westminster about inheritance tax changes, farmers are to stage a protest outside the Scottish Parliament where they will urge politicians to support their industry.

Nicola Wordie, a 26-year-old livestock farmer in Aberdeenshire, runs the business with her dad George, after her mum died suddenly earlier in the year.

Nicola explains some of the worries young farmers are facing in uncertain times.
