The judge said: “Your trial is going to take place on January 4.

“The position is that your barrister is going to be available to represent you on that date.

“You will be back here on August 17 when you will be asked to enter a plea.

“In the meantime, you will remain in custody.”

A week on from Khadeem’s death, Northamptonshire Police said officers have been completing door-to-door inquiries.

They have been speaking to residents and potential witnesses who may have information or camera footage to help the investigation.

On Wednesday, senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Ryan Catling said: “Members of Khadeem’s family visited Adnitt Road yesterday and laid flowers in his memory.

“They continue to be supported by specialist officers and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

“They are grateful for the support and condolences extended by the local community and ask that their privacy continues to be respected as they grieve for their loss.”
