The Scottish Information Commissioner is taking the Scottish government to court over its refusal to release the so-called ‘Salmond files’.

That’s the evidence behind an investigation which cleared Nicola Sturgeon – back when she was accused of misleading parliament over how her government handled allegations against Alex Salmond.

Ministers say publication could lead to the identification of people who have their names protected by the courts.

But David Hamilton disagrees. We find out why.
