Woman in 90s seriously injured in Gainsborough HGV crash

A woman in her 90s has been taken to hospital with “potentially life-threatening injuries” after being hit by an HGV, police have said.

The incident happened on Saturday morning on Lea Road in Gainsborough.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital by air ambulance and the road closed for several hours.

Lincolnshire Police said they expected the road to reopen by 19:00 BST and that no arrests have been made.
