Wales weather: 30 schools closed on third day of snowfall

Ice is the main reason for the closures, with some schools in Conwy saying they would re-evaluate the situation throughout the day.

Forecasters have warned people to take extra care when making journeys, and to expect delays.

The Met Office said cold northerly winds will continue through the end of the week across much of the UK.

By the weekend, the cold air is set to be replaced by milder south-westerly winds with potentially wet and very windy weather sweeping in.
