Wales must ‘learn to win’ again says captain Dewi Lake ahead of Japan Test

Captain Dewi Lake says Wales must “learn to win” in Cardiff as they look to end a run of 10 consecutive home defeats when they face Japan on Saturday.

Wales have not won a Test in the capital since beating England in August 2023, a run Lake admits has weighed heavily on the squad.

Reflecting on the team’s struggles, the hooker said the focus is on rebuilding the habits and confidence that come with closing out matches.

“When you’re winning consistently you don’t think about chasing games,” he explained. “It’s about getting back to a point where you feel unbeatable.”
