Suspect arrested after serious street assault in Elgin

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a serious street assault which left a 55-year-old man in hospital.

Police Scotland said the incident happened at about 15:15 on Friday outside a business premises on Harrow Inn Close, Elgin.

The man was said to be in a critical but stable condition.

A force spokesperson said a 28-year-old man had been arrested and inquiries were ongoing.
