Jayne began “excessively” collecting objects to help her cope with the death of her husband.
“At the worst, you had to walk sideways through the hall,” she said.
She is one of up to 6% of the UK population thought to have a hoarding disorder, according to charity Hoarding Disorders UK.
Jayne added she “wouldn’t wish this on anybody” as it represented a “lonely” time in her life.
