Super League: Huddersfield Giants 6-48 Wigan Warriors

Despite their player disadvantage after Byrne’s yellow card in the opening stages of the game, it was Wigan who raced ahead courtesy of a lung-busting run from Marshall.

A flowing set of passes out to Marshall on the wing saw him weave his way into space to touch down and put the visitors out of sight.

The pick of Wigan’s tries will arguably be Leeming’s score as the game ticked down as he worked onto a sensational late offload from French to race in.

Huddersfield finished the match with 12 players as Esan Marsters stuck a leg out to bring down French in the midst of another Wigan attack.

Wigan took no time at all to make their advantage count, though, with French once again in the thick of the action as he sent through Miski to break the 40-point mark.

Miski doubled his tally with two minutes remaining having run through with ease, with his score ensuring the Cherry and Whites would move to the Super League summit on points difference – and with a game in hand.
