This is the moment a rare “dust devil” caught beachgoers by surprise in Pembrokeshire.

People were left scrambling to keep their belongings close by as it swept across Saundersfoot beach.

A dust devil is an upward spiralling vortex of air that can vary in height from a few feet to more than 1,000ft (300m), according to the Met Office.

Unlike tornadoes, dust devils grow upwards from the ground, rather than down from clouds.
