Residents of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, have reacted with surprise after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited the town on Thursday.
It came the day after Mr Sunak announced that a general election will take place on 4 July.
His presence in the town met a mixed reaction, with some saying they were excited, while one described it as a “photo opportunity”.
