Right method to clean your laptop that doesn’t break the bank and cost is little

Whether you use your laptop for work, watching Netflix or chatting with family and friends online they can get pretty grubby.

Just think of the dust, crumbs or food lying on the keyboard.

Let alone dead skin – urgh it’s making us shudder at the thought.

So it is time to say goodbye to those germs with a few handy tips to make sure your laptop is cleaned the right way.

Even better, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg for cleaning products and it won’t take up much of your time.

The screen

Finger marks, dust or smudges on the screen can easily build up dirt. The best thing about cleaning the screen is that there’s no need for cleaning products – all you need is a microfiber cloth.

Something that might already be in your home. But if you don’t have one at hand then you can find them on Amazon or any supermarket. A cheap one will do too.

Try not to press too hard when cleaning the screen as you don’t want to damage it. However, if the stains aren’t budging then use a slightly wet cloth with warm water to remove it.

Make sure the cloth doesn’t drip any water onto the keyboard or vent as this may damage the laptop.

How to clean the keyboard

A keyboard is the hub for a breeding ground of germs. We have all been guilty of eating and drinking at our laptops. Crumbs and spillages often happen so it’s no wonder our laptops get dirty.

The best way to clean your keyboard is to blow any dirt or crumbs that remain on there. Once you’ve done this, get your microfibre cloth back out and slightly dampen it with warm water.

Another household item you can use is cotton buds which can get between the keys to get any dirt or crumbs that may have fallen around them.

Your laptop will look brand new in no time.
