Please, Apple, Give Us These Basic Upgrades in 2026

When tech companies pour all their energy into building generative AI designed to dupe humans, or adding camera buttons to tell us what dog breed we’re looking at, it’s clear the industry has lost focus on what we actually want to buy — and what we need.

So while most folks spend this time of year writing wish lists to Santa, I’m asking Apple CEO Tim Cook for a few small changes that would bring a little more joy to my world. You can see my full wishlist in the latest episode of “One More Thing,” embedded above.

Can a “Pro” version of an Apple product come in hot colors? Can Workout Buddy do a little better than generic encouragement when I start a walk? You’ll probably need to upgrade Siri’s smarts to make that happen… but please, Apple, don’t make Siri get weird like ChatGPT. I don’t need an overly agreeable voice to flirt with me when I prompt it.

I just need it to work.
