With the pressure to win a medal now off, Potter will team up with her fellow British athletes in a bid for more glory.
The mixed relay involves two men and two women doing a 300m swim, a 7.4km cycle, and 2km run by alternating man, women, man, women.
Potter will be joined by men’s Olympic champion Alex Yee, Georgia Taylor-Brown, and Samuel Dickinson.
Currently the former track athlete is scheduled to run the last leg, though that could change up to two hours before the race start (07:00 BST).
In the afternoon, Brash will also start his bid to add an individual gold to Team GB’s team triumph in the show jumping.
Qualifying starts are 14:00.
The track cycling also begins and Paisley’s Jack Carlin will go in team sprint qualifying (19:09), an event in which he claimed a silver medal in Tokyo as part of the British trio.
