Man dies in Ollaberry house fire in Shetland

Fire crews were called out on Monday

A man has died in a house fire in a remote area of Shetland.

Emergency services were called to Ollaberry, in the north of the islands, on Monday afternoon.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said formal identification has still to take place, and an investigation is under way to establish the cause of the fire.

Fire appliances from Brae, Hillswick and Scalloway attended.

Breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera were all used.
