A man has been charged after a bulldozer was driven into a village pub during opening hours, destroying the front porch and damaging the outside walls.

Daniel Morgan, 35, from Rhigos, in Rhondda Cynon Taf, faces a number of charges, including burglary, dangerous driving and criminal damage. He was also charged with aggravated vehicle-taking and property damage. He has been remanded until his next court appearance on 5 January.

Police were called just after 20:45 GMT on Thursday, following reports that a JCB had driven over an unoccupied parked car and crashed into the New Inn, in the hamlet of Cefn Rhigos.
