A 35-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after a serious assault on a bus in Lanark.
The man and a 15-year-old boy were both attacked on the bus just after 23:00 on Friday, in the Thornton Road area of the town.
Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The boy was released after treatment.
Police Scotland are trying to trace a white male, aged 18 – 25, after the attack. He was wearing a hooded jacket a black baseball cap.
