Malvern Actually: Head’s Love Actually dance tribute goes viral

Mr Metcalfe said he was persuaded to do it by the school’s marketing team for an end-of-term staff quiz.

“It was the end of term, the pupils had just gone home,” he said.

“They wanted to go out with a bang and got me at a weak point.”

The students and staff were quite surprised to see him dancing down the stairs and through the corridors of Malvern College, added Mr Metcalfe.

But he said he was happy to show them he was more than a head teacher.

“We do a lot of work on role modelling,” he said. “We want our pupils to be role models.

“I think sometimes as the head you’ve just got to show that you’re normal too.”
