Arrest as Wolves mural vandalised hours after unveiling

A man has been arrested for vandalising a new mural near a Wolverhampton stadium, hours after it was unveiled.

The artwork, situated at the entrance of Molineux Subway, was damaged on Saturday evening, said West Midlands Police.

The mural was unveiled on Saturday to celebrate 150 years of Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody.
