Josh Thewlis: Warrington Wolves winger signs new deal with Super League club to 2028

Warrington Wolves winger Josh Thewlis has signed a new deal to remain with the Super League club until the end of the 2028 season.

The 22-year-old came through the club’s academy and made his debut at the age of 17 against Catalans Dragons in 2019.

He has since made 88 appearances for the club and scored 39 tries during that period.

“I’ve been at this club since I was 15 and I love it here,” he said.

“I want to put my best foot forward now, enjoy my rugby and be known as a player who gives everything and who everyone wants to play with.

“It’s special to play for this club and I love representing this town.”

Thewlis scored a total of 15 tries in 26 games during a stellar season for Warrington last season, helping them reach the Challenge Cup final and Super League play-offs.

“It’s great news for the club and Josh to secure his long-term future,” head coach Sam Burgess added.

“He’s a crucial part of our team and I’m looking forward to having him and his family with us for the next few years.”
