James Morrison and The Fratellis cancel Kelpies Live shows

Singer-songwriter James Morrison and Scottish rock band The Fratellis have cancelled their Kelpies Live shows this weekend after a dispute with the event promoters.

The Glasgow trio said earlier this week that their show at Helix Park, Falkirk on Friday would not take place.

The band said the event promoters “have been unable to fulfill their commitments to the band to perform.”

James Morrison’s show on Sunday has also been cancelled according to promoters XFire’s website., external

The Kelpies Live website, external page for the concert shows a “page not found” message.

The promoters’ website page for the event, external confirmed it had been cancelled and said ticket holders would be contacted to “discuss arrangements.”

Tickets Scotland’s page for the event also confirms that it is cancelled.

The Scottish Sun has reported, external that an Instagram story on Morrison’s official account said the show was cancelled “due to the promoter being unable to fulfil their commitments for James to perform.”

The post reportedly added: “James is very disappointed as was very much looking forward to the show but this situation is out of his control.”
