I could have lost five grandchildren in landslide – Welsh farmer

“I could have easily lost five grandchildren”.

Emyr Owenn, a farmer in the village in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, in Wrexham county, tearfully speaks about how the floods have affected him and his family.

Five adults and five children were rescued after a landslide in the village.

Local councillor Trevor Baters said Natural Resources Wales (NRW) needed to “sort things out”.

Sian Williams NRW said it would “absolutely” look into complaints that warnings came too late.
