Glasgow streets closed after stonework falls from danger building

Several streets in the centre of Glasgow have been closed after stonework fell from a dangerous building.

Glasgow City Council said the material fell onto the pavement on Queen Street at about 03:00 on Friday morning.

The busy shopping street was closed to traffic at 08:00 and a crane was brought in to access the roof of the building.

Parts of Argyle Street, Union Street, Ingram Street, Mitchell Street and Mitchell Lane in the city centre were also closed.
