Gavin and Stacey co-creator James Corden says it feels “fantastic” to be back on Barry Island as filming begins for the show’s Christmas Day finale.
“It’s the home of the show and there’s been so much history here over the last 17 years,” Corden, who also plays Smithy, added.
“It’s a really special place with really, really special people,” he said.
But Corden admitted it was also bittersweet knowing this would be “the last time we’ll be on the island.”
He revealed being both excited and nervous about how fans will receive the sitcom’s final episode.
