With every National Lottery draw, a winning player has 180 days to claim their prize, whether is it £1 or £100,000,000.
After this point, any unclaimed prizes add to the £30m raised each week for lottery funded projects.
Some projects within Rhondda Cynon Taf that have received recent funding include the Rhondda Hearing Impaired Support Group – awarded a £18,000 in May.
In March, £15,000 was awarded to charity Striking Attitudes, to help organise activities for older people experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus charity Shine was awarded £350,000 in September 2023 to continue their work supporting young people in Wales.
