England fan family makes Euros double dash to Germany

“It’s been a pretty exhausting few days,” said Ben.

“It’s been a marathon but absolutely worth it – a once in a lifetime opportunity which we couldn’t miss.

“We got the tickets but the travel options were limited becauseas soon as it looked like England were heading into the final everyone had the same idea – get to Berlin.

“In the end, jumping in the car was the only real option.

“It was a bonkers roadtrip but it worked out brilliantly.

“We got three generations of our family to the semi-final and that was pretty special.

“Me, my dad, and Isaac can say we were all there together when Ollie Watkins hit that incredible winner. That’s our special memory.”

“It was a surreal atmosphere,” Ben, 39, added.

“I’d say there were about 20 fans in orange for every England fan but even after they lost the Dutch supporters were brilliant. Isaac got a lot of high fives from them.”
