Driver, 34, arrested after two-mile police pursuit in Glasgow

A man has been arrested after his car was involved in near two-mile police pursuit in Glasgow.

Detectives said the suspect, 34, failed to stop on Saracen Street, in the north of the city, when signalled by officers at about 08:40.

Police Scotland said the car was eventually “brought to a stop” on Newton Street but there were no reported injuries.

The man was charged in connection with road traffic offences and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
