Devon kitesurfer’s ship leap ‘probably scariest thing I’ve done’

Pro kitesurfer Tom Bridge leapt 129ft (39m) from the top of a cruise ship and made a smooth landing.

Bridge, 23, from Exmouth, Devon, said the epic jump from the Resilient Lady off the Greek island of Delos, was probably the scariest thing he had ever done.

He said: “We’d been on the ship to recce three times and had lots of looks over the edge and every time we’ve gone ‘Oh God, it’s high, isn’t it?'”

And he got a pat on the back from the ship’s owner and family friend, Richard Branson, who said he had executed the jump “beautifully”.
