CCTV footage has been released showing the moment a woman in her 70s had her handbag stolen.
She was shopping in West Gate, Mansfield, when another woman approached her from behind.
The victim’s handbag was then taken out of her shopping trolley, Nottinghamshire Police said.
It happened on 27 March and police described the theft as “a distressing incident for the victim”.
The force has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
