Cardiff: Man died from stab wound in leg, inquest hears

A dad-of-seven whose death is being treated as murder died after being stabbed in the leg, an inquest has heard.

Colin Richards, 48, from Grangetown, Cardiff, was found “unconscious and bleeding heavily from a wound in his leg” at about 23:00 on 7 April.

He was sitting in a car on Snowdon Road, Ely, waiting for his friend when he suffered the fatal wound, South Wales Central Coroner’s Court heard .

Police and paramedics attempted to treat him, but they could not save him and he was pronounced dead at 00:22 on 8 April.
