PA MediaTwo people have been injured in a car crash in Piccadilly Circus, central London.
Pictures show a heavily damaged vehicle lying on its roof near the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, popularly known as Eros.
The emergency services were called at about 05:30 BST to reports of the car ploughing into the tourist spot and overturning.
London Ambulance Service said it sent “multiple resources” to the scene.
A spokesman said: “We treated two people. We took one patient to a major trauma centre and the other patient to a local hospital.”
The area has been cordoned off by police.
Piccadilly Circus – one of the capital’s busiest roundabouts – links multiple roads to the West End and attracts millions of people every year.
