Body found after Porthcawl vehicle fire

A body has been found after a fire involving multiple vehicles in Porthcawl, Bridgend.

Police were called by fire services at 02:50 BST on Thursday to attend the scene at Mackworth Road.

After the fire was extinguished, emergency workers discovered a body inside one of the vehicles.

Formal identification has yet to be carried out and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

A cordon remains in place in both directions from Bungalow Avenue, which is about halfway down Mackworth Road, to the bottom of Mackworth Road by the beach.
