Alsagers Bank pub grub reviewer suggests bathing in gravy

A pub owner has said he wants to track down the person behind an “amazing” review who said he rated the gravy so highly, he wanted to pour it over himself and “writhe around the floor in a puddle of it”.

Posting on Google, Jim B said The Gresley Arms in Alsagers Bank, Staffordshire, did “simple pub grub extremely well”.

Owner Adam Woolliscroft said he was delighted with the feedback but would probably not encourage other diners to take up the reviewer’s advice.

“If you want to, feel free,” he laughed, “But you might make a mess.”
