Mitch Stanley has been awarded a new two-year contract to stay at Lancashire until the end of the 2028 season.

Stanley joined Lancashire from Worcestershire before the 2024 season, but after injury problems it is only this year that he has gained a regular place in the side.

The 25-year-old fast bowler has taken 15 wickets in his four Championship games and claimed a personal best 4-30 in Lancashire’s win over Yorkshire in the T20 Blast at Emirates Old Trafford.

“I feel like my game has developed a lot, but there’s still plenty more to come, and I’m looking forward to continuing that journey and helping Lancashire achieve success over the next two years and beyond,” Stanley told the club’s website, external.

Stanley, who has played for England Lions, is also on an England Development Contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), along with other fast bowlers Josh Hull of Leicestershire, Hampshire’s Sonny Baker and Surrey’s Tom Lawes.
