Zan Vipotnik: Swansea City to assess striker’s quad injury as he misses Charlton

Sheehan said Swansea’s players were “really disappointed” with the draw, having controlled the contest in spells and limited Charlton’s sights of goal.

“In terms of performance, against a team who are difficult to play against, we managed to cope really well for large parts of the game,” Sheehan added.

“We pinned them in in the second half and had opportunities. The guys were excellent in terms of effort and application.”

Swansea felt a key refereeing decision went against them inside the first minute of the game, when Eom Ji-Sung raced in behind the home defence and went down as Macaulay Gillesphey made a sliding challenge.

But with the visitors appealing for a sending off, referee David Webb did not give a free-kick.

“At the time it looked like a foul to me,” Sheehan said.

“Potentially [it is a red card]. We had to work very, very hard to get decisions today.”
