York Knights have signed forward Cameron McInnes on a three-year-deal and he will join Super League in 2027.

McInnes, 32, has spent the last five seasons with Cronulla Sharks after previous spells with St George-Illawarra Dragons and South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The Australian, who operates as a hooker or loose forward, has played close to 250 games in the NRL since his debut in 2014.

He also represented New South Wales in the State of Origin series in 2024.

“It has always been an ambition of mine to play in the Super League, experience a different competition and to get the opportunity to do it in York with a team just starting out it’s journey was hugely motivating,” McInnes told his new club’s website, external.

York are 13th in their debut Super League campaign, with two matches of the regular season remaining.
