Wrexham woman denies owning XL bully dog that killed father-in-law

A woman has denied being the owner of a dog which attacked and killed her father-in-law.

Chanel Fong, 31, from Wrexham, is accused of being the owner of an American XL bully dog called Cookie which the prosecution said was dangerously out of control at the time.

She sobbed in the dock at Mold Crown Court as she said “not guilty” to the one charge she faces.

The dog bit Keven Jones, 65, on the leg in May 2022, causing injuries from which he later died.
