Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025: Wales ‘not good enough’ in Scotland loss – Sean Lynn

Wales had gone into the game off the back of a drawn summer Test series in Australia, during which they claimed an impressive first win under Lynn who took over earlier this year.

But the promise they showed in Brisbane, coupled with a brutal pre-season, was nowhere to be seen in Salford.

“I think if you ask all the players and the coaching staff, they didn’t see that coming at all,” said Lynn.

“I want some honest conversations because the last fortnight, the prep has been brilliant.

“There are some big-game players out there and they should be really excited about coming into these fixtures and playing in front of 10,000 fans.”
