A woman has pleaded guilty to causing death and grievous bodily injury by careless driving after a crash on the A8 near Ballynure in 2023.
Isabel McCormick, 78, of Glendale Park in Larne, admitted causing the death of John Wilson by driving carelessly on the 21 October 2023, and to causing grievous bodily injury to a female on the same date.
Sixty-one-year-old Mr Wilson died in hospital from his injuries, four days after his tractor was in a collision with a blue Ford Fiesta.
Two other people were taken to hospital at the time.
Defence counsel told Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Monday that the case would benefit from a pre-sentence report from the probation board.
The district judge freed Mrs McCormick and adjourned the plea and sentence to 23 September.
