Woman dies after falling into water at Rogie Falls

A woman who fell into the water at a beauty spot in the Highlands has died.

The 23-year-old got into difficulty at Rogie Falls in Wester Ross at about 13:45 on Saturday.

Emergency services including HM Coastguard and the fire service were sent to the falls, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said there were no suspicious circumstances, and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
